Joseph Quintilio Added To Crease For 2024-25 Season

Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Tuesday the team has signed 2007-born goaltender Jospeh Quintilio for the 2024-25 season.

A product of St. Albert, Alberta, Quintilio has spent each of the past two seasons with HC Edmonton 18U in the Junior Prospects Hockey League (JPHL), which included a Winter Championship and JPHL Championship during the 2022-23 campaign.

In addition to that, Quintilio had a strong 2023-24 season which saw him finish with a 1.52 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in 17 games along with 5 shutouts and a 13-3 record. The 6’3”, 165-pound netminder is also an alumni of the Hockey Super League (HSL) having played with the Saints Pro Hockey Academy U15 team in 2021-22.

”Joe is a talented netminder with a bright future,” stated Sklaruk, “He comes from a great family and continually has put in the work required to get to the next level. Joe has all the foundations to be an impact goaltender at our level and while he continues to grow into his large frame, his speed, agility and positional play will only improve. We are thrilled to have Joe in our goaltending stable.”
