Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today, 17-year-old forward Alexy Lachaine has signed a recruitment letter for the 2024-2025 season.
Lachaine, from Blaineville, Quebec, joins the Saints from Culver Military Academy Prep School, located in Culver, Indiana. In the 2023-24 season, the 6-foot, 194 pounds left shooting forward, notched 17 goals, 21 assists and 30 penalty minutes in 47 United States High School Prep League games (USHS-P).
General Manager Rob Sklaruk was elated upon learning that Lechaine had chosen to join the Saints. “Alexy was an extremely high priority target to add to our group. He (Lachaine) is a driven and committed individual who possesses an impressive offensive skill set coupled with a strong commitment to his play away from the puck. Alexy has a high ceiling that our coaching staff is looking forward to developing. We are thrilled he will soon be wearing a Saints jersey.”
Lechaine, the newest Saint recruit, had this to say about his commitment to Spruce Grove.
“Joining the Saints is an exciting next step for my family and I. I will be now measured against some of the best players in North America. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity the organization is giving me, and it means a lot to be welcomed in their family!
The Saints would like to welcome Alexy and the entire Lachaine family to our organization.
