The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce 20-year-old forward Max Seguin has committed to the Saints for the 2024-2025 season.
Seguin comes to the Saints after an impressive stint with the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The Orleans, Ontario native posted 42 goals, 69 assists and 111 penalty minutes in 113 regular season contests over the past two seasons. In the post season, Seguin was a point per game player, notching 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) in 20 post season games.
General Manager Rob Sklaruk spoke about his newest veteran commit. “Having a proven scorer and leader like Max choose the Saints is huge win for our group. Max is a high character player on and off the ice and will immediately become a leader in the room and provide high end skill with a tireless work ethic to our team. We are excited to see Max become a Saint.”
The 6’0”, 185 pound left shooting forward is committed to the NCAA‘s Princeton Tigers of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men’s Division I hockey team for the 2025-2026 season.
Seguin saw value in joining the Saints to prepare for the next level, saying, “The opportunity to join the Saints with their long history of developing players to be ready for college hockey was a big factor in my decision”. “My family and I couldn’t think of a better organization to continue my development and I’m really excited to pull on the Saints jersey and play in the BCHL next season.”
